There’s a lot to say about this tiny vaporizer, mostly that it’s excellent at what it does. It’s a portable vape that is exactly that: not much bigger than a bunch of pencils but capable of so much more, it gives a high quality yet extremely discreet vape. The Air 1 was a great bit of kit, it was one of the first decently portable, discreet vapes that actually could last a session or two while producing tasty smoke. A bit of a game-changer, as they say. Well, this is the latest version of that highly successful device, and it is much better, which is saying something.
First up is the screen, which says “Hi” and smiles at you when you turn it on. Given the sheer pleasure this machine is about to give you, that seems appropriate. The LED screen displays the temperature settings in Fahrenheit or Celsius and is a great help when precisely setting your temperature. It also shows the status of your battery charge.
Adjust the temperature between 122 degrees Fahrenheit and 428 degrees Fahrenheit with the precision controls and get fine tasting vapor at all temperatures. Compared to the 5 presets available on the original Air, that extra versatility is really cool. It’ll reach the desired temperature in under 90 seconds, much better than the original Air.
It is a cloud pleaser, you will get enormous clouds of vapor coming from this unit and at the same time produces extremely tasty vapor that will satisfy all of the users, even the pickiest connoisseur. The borosilicate glass vapor path and mouthpiece cool the vapor to the perfect temperature.
Built quality is what we’d expect from Arizer, that is to say, excellent. The tough aluminum shell is light and sturdy, and the whole thing has a pleasing weight to it.
The Arizer Air 2 is really easy to clean. Simply take the aroma tube off, remove any loose debris and soak the whole tube in some isopropyl alcohol for about 10 minutes. Rinse with clean water before use. Brush out debris from the heating chamber and dip a cotton bud in alcohol. Make sure the bud is just damp and not soaked. Hold the device upside down and wipe out the chamber with the cotton bud. That way no alcohol will drip into the device. Make sure to run a few burn-off cycles before using your Air 2 again.
Be sure to get some spare glass tubes when you buy one, they do break, it’s an unfortunate fact. The benefit of the borosilicate tubes is their excellent cooling ability, this vape gives a really cool toke considering how small it is.
The Air 2 charges via USB and charges in an hour and a half, roughly. That gives you an hour of uninterrupted vaping goodness, easily half a dozen sessions. If you need, just swap out the rechargeable battery when the one in it runs out of power. It’ll add an extra layer of peace of mind to your sessions.
|Average battery life||60 Minutes|
|Recharge time||90 Minutes|
Overall, this is a welcome upgrade from the Air. An owner of the original will find the same high-quality vapor and upgraded functions including precise temperature control and removable battery. Anyone looking for a really good, actually discreet vaporizer, look no further. The Air 2 gives a tasty vape, again and again, while slipping neatly into your pocket when the time for discretion comes. The Air 2 is pretty affordable and should last any user a good few years. The battery will need replacing after a few hundred cycles, but they’re cheap and easy to get hold of. Please recycle when you do need to replace it.
Arizer emphasizes the discretion possible with this device, alongside the high-quality vapor and excellent construction. That’s all fair, we’d say.
A lot of discreet vapers are enjoying this Arizer, it’s got a lot of features that appeal to a lot of people it seems. Nobody seems to be saying they break randomly, suggesting they’re a really reliable product; the general consensus is that the vapor quality is very high too.
